A MARKET OF OPPORTUNITY...
Most properties come into their own at this time of year and will continue to look at their most attractive throughout the summer months. As such, many sellers enter the market now safe in the knowledge that this is the start of an unparalleled sales opportunity.
On the demand side of the of the equation, buyers are aware that more properties are currently coming on to the market, so it is an excellent time to be house hunting.
The result is opportunity for everyone, and, potentially in a time frame that can be very appealing.
The best advice, for both buyers and sellers, is to be as ready as possible. A buyer who is ‘proceedable’, i.e. a cash buyer or has already sold a property (subject to contract), will be a much more attractive proposition to a seller than a buyer who wants to put in an offer but still has a property to market first. Likewise, a seller who has put in as much groundwork as is feasibly possible to show a property in its best light may be more likely to achieve a fast sale. In both cases, it’s a case of readiness and putting yourself in the very best position.
