Description
This charming 4 bedroomed Victorian cottage provides a deceptive level of accommodation enjoying a delightful setting, adjacent to forest walks, in one of the area’s most desirable and unspoilt villages. In more recent years, the cottage has been the subject of further improvement with works carried out including a sympathetic first floor rear and side extension, creating a larger kitchen breakfast room, sitting room and an impressive master en-suite bedroom affording far reaching views to the rear. A new boiler serving the oil fired radiator central heating system has been fitted and double glazing. Many original features are retained including fireplaces, exposed beams, brick flooring, ledge and brace internal doors. The accommodation currently in brief comprises: traditional entrance door to entrance hall with door to sitting room (currently used as a fifth bedroom) which includes a fireplace with wooden surround and wood burning stove along with windows to the front and side. The living room is a cosy reception with fireplace, wood burner and wooden surround with original cupboards to side. Window to front, door to staircase to the first floor. Door to a spacious kitchen come breakfast room with window to rear, range of hand built units, Range oven, dishwasher and superb walk in pantry. The family room has wooden flooring and two pairs of French doors to rear and side gardens. The separate utility room has plenty of fitted cupboards and storage space, including an airing cupboard with boiler, door to garden and a cloakroom completes the ground floor accommodation. On the first floor is a spacious landing (ideal study area) with window to front and exposed floor boards. There are four surprising bedrooms, master with en-suite bathroom, two rooms with super views and a family bathroom completes the first floor accommodation.
